Occupational therapy (OT) is a healthcare profession that focuses on helping individuals of all ages to participate in everyday activities or "occupations" that are meaningful and important to them. Occupational therapists work with people who have physical, cognitive, or psychological disabilities or limitations that affect their ability to perform daily tasks.
The goal of occupational therapy is to enable individuals to engage in occupations that are important to them, improve their overall quality of life, and maximize their potential for independence and participation in society. This may include activities such as self-care tasks (e.g. dressing, bathing, grooming), work or school-related tasks, leisure activities, and social interactions.
Occupational therapists use a client-centered approach to develop personalized treatment plans that address each individual's specific needs and goals. At Premium Rehab we use a variety of interventions, such as adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and home modifications to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve their occupational goals.
Lyndal is an Approved icare Case Manager (NSW) and an occupational therapist who specialises in the prescription of home modifications, equipment and assistive technology. She focuses on empowering her clients to overcome challenges, regain independence, and achieve their highest potential in their daily activities.
